Ka-band technical
"Ka-band service launch will enable multiple connectivity services using GSAT-20 Ka-band HTS capacity"
Ka-band is a slice of the microwave radio spectrum (roughly 26.5–40 GHz) commonly used for satellite links and high-capacity wireless backhaul. Because it carries more data per second and lets antennas be smaller, it can enable faster internet and more channels, but its higher frequency is also more prone to signal loss in heavy rain or obstacles. Investors track Ka-band deployment and equipment costs because it affects a company’s ability to deliver high-speed services, coverage economics, and revenue potential.
high-throughput satellite technical
"using GSAT-N2 Ka-band HTS satellite"
A high-throughput satellite is a communications satellite designed to deliver far more data capacity than traditional satellites by using many narrow, focused beams and modern signal techniques — think of it as a multi-lane highway for internet and data in the sky. For investors, it matters because higher capacity can lower the cost of providing satellite broadband and support more customers or services, which affects revenue potential, competition, and capital needs for companies operating or using these satellites.
cellular backhaul technical
"including Aero IFC, cellular backhaul and enterprise connectivity in remotest locations"
Cellular backhaul is the network of links that carries voice and data from individual cellular towers or small cells to the operator’s central network and the internet, using fiber, microwave or other connections. Its capacity, reliability and cost determine how well a mobile operator can deliver faster speeds, expand coverage and control capital and operating expenses—think of it as the highways that must be widened and maintained when traffic grows.
Software-Defined Satellites (SDS) technical
"supporting multi-orbit constellations, Very High Throughput Satellites (VHTS), and Software-Defined Satellites (SDS)"
