TRU Simulation + Training (NYSE:TXT) announced delivery and acceptance of a Bell 505 Flight Training Device (FTD) to the Royal Jordanian Air Force on November 13, 2025.
The purchase includes aircraft delivery, the FTD and a comprehensive computer-based training package to support basic and advanced rotorcraft training at King Hussein Air College in Mafraq, Jordan, following delivery of 10 Bell 505 helicopters. The FTD replicates the Bell 505 cockpit with dual Garmin G1000H NXi displays, avionics, controls and high-fidelity aerodynamics, and supports visual and instrument training.
The configuration meets FAA qualification requirements for Level 5 FTD under Title 14 CFR Part 60.
Textron Aviation (NYSE:TXT) announced that the Cessna Citation Ascend received FAA type certification on November 5, 2025, with entry into service expected later in 2025. Two flight test articles logged more than 1,000 flight hours during certification.
The midsize jet features Garmin G5000 avionics with autothrottle and synthetic vision, dual Pratt & Whitney Canada PW545D engines, a flat floor cabin for up to 12 passengers, a max speed of 441 ktas, range 1,940 nm, and a 900 lb full-fuel payload.
TRU Simulation + Training (NYSE:TXT) announced that the SUBARU Bell 412EPX Flight Training Device received Level 5 qualification from the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau on November 4, 2025, supporting rotorcraft training in Japan.
This is the second TRU-built FTD delivered to SUBARU and was developed with Bell to enable training for routine transport, complex search-and-rescue (SAR) missions, VFR and IFR operations. The device simulates flight, ground starting and run-up procedures, ground and in-flight emergencies, with high-fidelity aerodynamics, engine, controls, sound models, and a custom visual system for immersive SAR training.
Textron Aviation Defense (NYSE: TXT) said it will assemble the Beechcraft M-346N at its east Wichita, Kansas campus if awarded the U.S. Navy Undergraduate Jet Training System (UJTS) contract.
The company expects to invest more than $38 million to modernize over 50,000 sq ft of manufacturing space and estimates the program would create about 100 direct manufacturing jobs in Wichita plus additional indirect roles. Textron noted the M-346N is operationally proven with more than 100 aircraft produced by Leonardo and anticipates a Navy award announcement in January 2027.
Textron (NYSE: TXT) named Danny Maldonado as president & CEO of its Bell segment, effective January 4, 2026. Maldonado, currently Bell chief commercial officer, will succeed Lisa Atherton, who becomes president & CEO of Textron effective the same date.
