NEW YORK, Nov. 27, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- At the end of the settlement date of November 15, 2023, short interest in 3,169 Nasdaq Global MarketSM securities totaled 10,924,879,396 shares compared with 10,847,253,689 shares in 3,200 Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of October 31, 2023. The mid-November short interest represents 3.06 days compared with 3.15 days for the prior reporting period.
Short interest in 1,765 securities on The Nasdaq Capital MarketSM totaled 2,075,323,870 shares at the end of the settlement date of November 15, 2023, compared with 2,015,044,446 shares in 1,774 securities for the previous reporting period. This represents a 1.79 day average daily volume; the previous reporting period’s figure was 1.57.
