Hyundai Motor America has announced a donation of $150,000 to the Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) for its Injury Prevention Program, which focuses on enhancing child passenger and pedestrian safety. This collaboration aims to run more car seat check events and LA Street Smarts initiatives, educating children about safety protocols. Hyundai's initiative, part of its Hyundai Hope corporate social responsibility program, aligns with efforts to reduce injuries and fatalities associated with car crashes and pedestrian incidents.

Notably, almost half of car seats are incorrectly installed, and effective use significantly decreases fatality risks among young children. The partnership will incorporate community education to spread awareness and promote safety practices.

Hyundai Motor America has extended its partnership with One Tree Planted to plant an additional 200,000 trees across North America, bringing the total to 350,000 trees since the partnership began in 2022. The announcement was made during a tree planting event in Denver on Earth Day, April 22, 2023. The initiative aligns with Hyundai's IONIQ Forest project, focusing on sustainability and reforestation.

Hyundai has also donated two IONIQ 6 electric vehicles to support the tree planting efforts. This partnership reflects Hyundai's commitment to combatting climate change and investing in electrification, aiming to introduce 11 new EV models by 2030.
