Broadcom Inc. reports developments across semiconductor and infrastructure software businesses serving enterprise, cloud, broadband and AI infrastructure markets. Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO) signed a 10-year agreement with NTT DOCOMO to advance the private cloud supporting DOCOMO’s digital services. The agreement covers VMware software licenses, technical assistance and maintenance support, including VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), the software platform at the core of DOCOMO’s private cloud.
The companies have collaborated on that infrastructure since 2019 and will now align their long-term technology roadmaps. Broadcom plans to support continuous system availability, security improvements and faster service delivery through the platform. The companies also plan to jointly advance AI-driven operations, which they expect to improve service quality and delivery speed.
Broadcom (AVGO) introduced VMware HyperArmor, a software solution designed to add protection to the VMware Cloud Foundation hypervisor component.
HyperArmor supports VMware ESX 8.x and later releases. Broadcom says its host-level virtual patching blocks attempted malicious actions without requiring host reboots or software upgrades. The software also blocks unauthorized executables and scripts and adds multi-factor authentication to ESX SSH logins, requiring a separate one-time password after standard credentials. It operates without agents inside guest virtual machines and complements VMware vDefend’s network-layer virtual patching.
Broadcom (AVGO) reported third quarter fiscal 2026 revenue of $29.6 billion, an 86% increase from the prior-year period, and declared a $0.65 per-share quarterly dividend.
GAAP operating income was $16.0 billion, up 171% year-over-year, with GAAP net income of $13.1 billion, up 216%. GAAP diluted EPS rose 215% to $2.68. On a non-GAAP basis, operating income increased 92% to $20.1 billion and net income rose 95% to $16.4 billion, with non-GAAP diluted EPS up 96% to $3.32.
Q3 cash from operations was $14.2 billion and free cash flow was $13.7 billion, 95% higher year-over-year and equal to 46% of revenue. AI semiconductor revenue reached $16.7 billion, up 221% year-over-year and 54% quarter-over-quarter. Semiconductor solutions revenue rose 127% to $20.8 billion, while infrastructure software revenue grew 29% to $8.8 billion.
For Q4 fiscal 2026, Broadcom guides revenue of approximately $34.8 billion, up 93% year-over-year, and expects to maintain a non-GAAP operating margin of about 66% of projected revenue.
Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO) introduced VMware Private AI Cloud at VMware Explore 2026 in Las Vegas, a private cloud platform designed to run AI inference workloads, agentic AI applications, and traditional enterprise workloads together where data resides. The offering is built on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9 and Broadcom’s VMware AI Factory.
VMware Private AI Cloud targets AI cost drivers via NVMe memory tiering, storage deduplication, heterogeneous GPU/CPU/accelerator support, and tokenomics monitoring. Security is aligned to NIST CSF 2.0 using VMware vDefend, TrueSource Trusted Artifacts, and Avi Load Balancer, while Tanzu Platform and the new AgentMinder solution focus on governing and securing autonomous AI agents.
Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO) introduced VMware AI Factory, the software-defined foundation of VMware Private AI Cloud, designed to simplify and accelerate moving AI from bare metal to production. According to Broadcom, VMware AI Factory automates AI-ready infrastructure deployment and Day 2 operations, aiming to cut time from server provisioning to first AI model from weeks to hours.
The platform integrates VMware Cloud Foundation with certified AI ReadyNodes from partners such as Cisco, Dell Technologies, Lenovo, Supermicro and others, supports more than 150 open source and commercial models, and offers private AI services for GPU pooling, multi-tenant model sharing, governance via an AI Gateway, and secure AI sandboxes. Broadcom also announced a partnership with MetalSoft for heterogeneous bare metal automation and a collaboration with AMD to pair VCF with AMD Instinct GPUs and the ROCm software ecosystem.
Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO) announced that leading AI models from Google, NVIDIA, NEC, Alibaba Cloud, and Z.ai have been tested and validated to run on VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), enabling enterprises to deploy these models on-premises and offer “model as a service” from their private clouds.
According to Broadcom, VCF is an AI- and Kubernetes-native private cloud platform that can run AI inferencing, agentic applications, containers, and virtual machines together, with MLPerf Inference v5.1 benchmarks showing performance on par with bare metal. Newly validated models include Nemotron 3, Gemma 4, cotomi, Qwen 3.7-Max, and GLM 5.2, expanding VCF’s open ecosystem that already supports mixed compute across AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA and more than 150 open source models via vLLM.
Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO) introduced TrueSource, a portfolio of commercially supported, verifiably built open source software for enterprises, launched at VMware Explore 2026. The suite combines Spring Enterprise, new TrueSource Trusted Artifacts for Java, Python and Node.js, and TrueSource Data Services for PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, MySQL and Valkey.
According to Broadcom, Spring Enterprise delivers proactively scanned, human-verified patches across all supported Spring release lines and more than 5,000 Java libraries. TrueSource Trusted Artifacts offer SLSA Build Level 3 clean-room builds and Bitnami Secure Images, while TrueSource Data Services adds curated, hardened data engine distributions with deployment automation and security visibility.
Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO) announced new AI-ready data foundations in the VMware Tanzu Platform, the official agent platform for VMware Private AI Cloud. The release provides an end-to-end framework to move from AI pilots to production AI agents inside enterprise private clouds, focused on agent and data security.
Key features include hardened agent sandboxes with a deny-by-default model, on-site AI-ready data processing for governed access, context, and lineage, an out-of-the-box developer harness, a curated marketplace for vetted models and tools, and auditable agent governance via an AI gateway. Capabilities are expected to be generally available in Fall 2026.
Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO) introduced integrated security, identity, and observability capabilities for agentic AI environments running on its Private AI Cloud. Using VMware vDefend, VMware Avi Load Balancer, and the newly unveiled AgentMinder, the company targets governance and protection of autonomous agents, tools, datastores, and LLM-based workloads.
According to Broadcom, vDefend will extend Zero Trust lateral security with agentic component discovery, shadow AI monitoring, and AI-generated IDPS signatures. Avi Load Balancer enhancements focus on agentic threat defense, including tool and agent misuse prevention, zero-day attack detection, and sensitive data protection. AgentMinder provides a central control plane for agent identity, intent binding, runtime policy enforcement, and compliance-grade auditability built on OpenTelemetry.
Broadcom (NASDAQ: AVGO) announced AgentMinder, an enterprise solution designed to govern and control autonomous AI agents by acting as a traffic controller between agents and enterprise resources. The platform independently verifies agent identity and intent, and authorizes each action against policy, context, and current risk.
AgentMinder combines identity and intent binding, runtime enforcement through a cloud-native AI gateway, and observability built on OpenTelemetry to provide full telemetry and audit trails. According to Broadcom, it already supports nearly 36 million customer-related and seven million workforce-related API calls per day and manages over 20 million customer identities and 72,000 workforce identities. The solution is generally available and deployable across Kubernetes-based environments, including VMware vSphere Kubernetes Service and Google Cloud Platform.
