Agilysys (NASDAQ: AGYS) has appointed hospitality software veteran Dan Bell as Vice President, North America Sales East – Hotels, Resorts and Cruises (HRC) in a newly created role. This strategic move divides North America HRC sales coverage into East and West regions, with Tim Hansen leading the West region since October 2023.

Hamilton Island Enterprises (HIE) has selected Agilysys' Versa Property Management System (PMS) along with 10 complementary solutions to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiencies. Located in Australia's Whitsunday Islands, Hamilton Island will implement these cloud-native solutions to streamline online and call centre bookings for accommodation, golf, spa, and activities.

The new implementation includes features for improved employee management, enhanced mobile service options, digital check-in/check-out, mobile food ordering, digital marketing, document management, and secure payment handling. HIE, already using Agilysys InfoGenesis POS system, chose Versa PMS after a rigorous selection process that involved front-line staff, management, and industry experts.

The key advancement is the system's ability to manage bookings and payments across various business aspects, including accommodation, dining, golf, spa, activities, and experiences.
