The SEC Professionals Group, a leading community for thousands of financial reporting practitioners, today announced Paul Munter, Acting Chief Accountant of the Office of the Chief Accountant at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, will speak at its quarterly meeting on September 13, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time. The meeting is open to the public and to attendees of the Workiva Amplify user conference at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mr. Munter was named the Acting Chief Accountant in February 2021. Since 2019, he has served as Deputy Chief Accountant leading the international work in the agency’s Office of the Chief Accountant (OCA). Prior to joining the SEC, he had extensive professional experience in both academia and as a partner at KPMG.
