Indiana Fever and WTHR announce extension of their multi-year broadcast agreement to deliver record number of games to fans
TEGNA's NBC affiliate WTHR and MeTV affiliate WALV in Indianapolis have extended their multi-year broadcast agreement with the Indiana Fever, expanding local coverage to 18 games for the 2025 season. The partnership showed strong results last season, with WTHR's local broadcasts achieving a 63% higher household ratings compared to national network games.
The agreement comes as the Fever sets a franchise record with 41 of 44 games scheduled for national television coverage - the highest number for any team in WNBA history. The local broadcast schedule includes key matchups against teams like Atlanta, Washington, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles, with games distributed between WTHR and WALV channels.
