TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD. (the “Company”) launched the official website and Discord for its ‘SYMBIOGENESIS’ digital collectible art experience today. While players wait for the start of ‘SYMBIOGENESIS’ later this spring, they can take part in a treasure hunt to find digital art, “Member Card”, that will let them earn game points for future use in the Web3 game world. The treasure hunt kicks off today through Tuesday, April 4 on the SYMBIOGENESIS website and clues to the whereabouts of digital art can be found on the official Discord community server.

The World of ‘SYMBIOGENESIS’

‘SYMBIOGENESIS’ is a brand-new entertainment service combining free browser-based content with 10,000 pieces of digital art.

Beset by unexpected disasters, players search for myriad items and the cause of the calamities that surround them as they navigate their way across the Floating Continent, a self-contained world where a wide cast of characters symbiosis. Players in possession of digital collectible art have access to key information that will help them work their way through the game, including clues to the locations of items and insights into the history of the Floating Continent. Questions about the monopolization and distribution of resources are central to the game, and players constantly find themselves forced to decide whether to keep their information close to their chests or reveal it to other players in a strategic trade. Ultimately, three players that have cleared certain hurdles will be positioned to make vital choices impacting how the story ends.

The main story that reveals the look and feel of the ‘SYMBIOGENESIS’ world can be enjoyed by anyone—even if they are not digital art collectors.

Digital Art Included in the Treasure Hunt

The treasure hunt gives players access to digital art called “Member Card: Green.” Following the official launch of ‘SYMBIOGENESIS,’ players with the Card in their crypto wallets will gain an in-game advantage. Players will find a succession of clues to their whereabouts on the official Discord community.

The treasure hunt will run through 11:59pm on Tuesday, April 4 Japan time, and digital art Member Cards will be available to the first 30,000 players to find them.

*Players will need a crypto wallet to receive their digital art.

*The crypto wallets that will work with ‘SYMBIOGENESIS’ are MetaMask, WalletConnect, and Web3Auth.
