Schneider to add nearly 100 battery electric trucks to its fleet
Schneider (NYSE: SNDR) is set to take delivery of nearly 100 Class 8 battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) for its operations in Southern California. This includes the first Freightliner eCascadia from Daimler Truck North America, expanding Schneider's electric fleet to one of the largest in North America. The company aims to reduce CO2 emissions per mile by 7.5% by 2025, with the new BEVs expected to avoid over 81,000 pounds of CO2 emissions daily.
