RTX's Pratt & Whitney and Polish Air Force University to expand propulsion education opportunities for cadets
Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, has signed a letter of intent with the Polish Air Force University to provide education on F100 and F135 fighter engine propulsion systems. The program will focus on advanced jet propulsion design, manufacturing, and production of engines powering Poland's F-16s and future F-35s.
The company's Rzeszów facility produces F100 static structures, critical rotating parts, and F135 components. In 2024, Pratt & Whitney strengthened Poland's fleet readiness by delivering F100 engines for F-16s and signing an agreement with Military Aviation Works No. 2 to explore expanded maintenance capabilities.
