Avio and Raytheon (NYSE: RTX) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on November 10, 2025 to establish a state‑of‑the‑art solid rocket motor (SRM) facility in the United States.

Raytheon UK (NYSE: RTX) has been awarded a contract by the UK Space Agency to provide orbital analysts in support of the UK Space Domain Awareness mission, announced 4 November 2025. PhantomStrike is a fully air-cooled, high-efficiency Gallium Nitride fire-control radar designed for size-, weight-, and power-constrained platforms. The system is claimed to weigh nearly half of modern AESA radars, cost nearly half of a typical fire-control radar, and offers long-range detection, digital beam agility, advanced target detection, and jamming resistance.

Pratt & Whitney (NYSE: RTX) announced that the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has validated type certification for the GTF Advantage engine, enabling entry into service in 2026. The engine received U.S. FAA certification earlier in 2025. The GTF Advantage offers 4% more takeoff thrust at sea level and 8% more at high altitude, improved fuel efficiency, and a more durable configuration delivering up to double the time on wing. It is fully intermixable and interchangeable with the current GTF model and is planned to become the production standard. The PW800 offers double-digit fuel-burn and noise improvements versus prior-generation engines, can operate on a 50% SAF blend, and claims dispatch reliability >99.98%. Pratt & Whitney reports the engine requires 40% less scheduled maintenance and 20% fewer inspections than peers. In 2025 the company expanded PW800 MRO capacity with new MTU shop in Berlin-Brandenburg and an added high-speed line in Burlington, Vermont, while keeping Bridgeport, West Virginia operational.
