QUANTUM-SI HOSTS WEBINAR ON ADVANCES IN PROTEIN IDENTIFICATION AND CHARACTERIZATION
Company to hold webinar with Select Science on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11 a.m. ET
WHAT: The protein sequencing company, Quantum-Si, will discuss their novel next-generation protein sequencing platform, Platinum™, and how it can be used to identify proteins with single-molecule resolution and complement immunoassays and other proteomic workflows by providing deeper insights into proteins. The session will also be joined by Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the Northwestern University, Dr. Danielle Tullman-Ercek. Dr. Tullman-Ercek will illustrate how protein identification on Platinum has been used in her protein engineering research, and other ways she plans to use Platinum for protein engineering applications. She will demonstrate how next-generation protein sequencing provides additional information about proteins, and how she can simplify her protein engineering workflows with Platinum.
WHY: Protein engineering holds the key to generating novel proteins with optimal functions for therapeutic, environmental, and industrial applications. Technologies like Quantum-Si’s Platinum will improve protein engineering workflows expediting the generation of new therapeutics or environmental and industrial solutions. Quantum-Si’s benchtop device is the only technology available currently that allows for protein identification with single-molecule protein sequencing.
WHO: Quantum-Si and Northwestern University will bring together researchers with expertise in fields including molecular biology, biochemistry, and genetics who have interest in expanding into proteomics. The webinar will be moderated by:
- Katherine Johnson, Senior Director, Product, Quantum-Si
- Dr Danielle Tullman-Ercek, Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Northwestern University
WHEN: “Next-generation protein sequencing platform: Advances in protein identification & characterization” will be held Friday, October 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. ET / 8:00 a.m. PT.
