RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Maximus (NYSE: MMS), a leading provider of government services worldwide, announced today the National Energy Technology Laboratory’s (NETL) Energy Data eXchange (EDX®) Development and Operations Team, supported by the company, has received the Secretary of Energy’s Achievement Award.

Maximus’ strength in supporting critical government program teams and agency missions combines an understanding of the government processes and people, while applying technology modernization that enables enhanced support for agencies such as NETL implementing the EDX program. The Secretary’s Honor Awards, presented by Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm, recognize individuals and teams who have gone above and beyond to fulfill the DOE’s mission to address energy, environmental, and nuclear challenges. The Achievement Award is presented to teams of DOE federal employees and contractors who have accomplished significant achievements over the previous year. The EDX achievement award is one of only two team awards that were awarded to NETL this past year.

“We are proud and honored to be recognized by Secretary Granholm for the hard work of our team at NETL,” said Teresa Weipert, General Manager of Maximus Federal. “Our work at NETL is a prime example of our commitment to deliver unmatched technology support for federal agencies with the necessary experience to transform how agencies reach their mission goals.”
