Lenovo Global CTO Study Reinforces a Vision for “New IT” to Shape a Smarter Future
Lenovo's recent global study involving 500 CTOs reveals key insights into the future of technology. The findings indicate a shift towards a 'New IT' architecture, emphasizing the integration of smart devices, edge computing, and cloud solutions. Notably, 84% of CTOs express optimism about hybrid cloud technology. However, challenges in cybersecurity and compliance remain significant concerns for many. The study underscores the potential for leveraging technology further, with strong resonance for Lenovo's vision among CTOs. Conducted between July 26 and August 12, 2022, the survey spans various global markets.
- 43% of CTOs view their technology architecture as 'improved'.
- 76% cite Smart Devices and Scenario-Based Solutions as increasingly important.
- 84% of CTOs optimistic about the future of hybrid cloud.
- More than 80% believe Lenovo's 'New IT' vision accurately captures future ICT.
- 63% of U.S. CTOs cite cybersecurity as a top challenge.
- 64% of U.S. CTOs and 67% in the U.K. mention regulation/compliance as a concern.
- Compatibility issues in enterprise infrastructure complicate IT decisions.
The study uncovers interesting findings about global CTOs’ viewpoints about how the traditional IT will continue to evolve into a “New IT” architecture, where client devices, edge computing, cloud computing, network and artificial intelligence all work together to address CTOs’ commons pain points and provide them with solutions as they drive further global digitalization across all industries.
“We’re encouraged to see our vision of the New IT architecture resonating so strongly with CTOs across the world,” said Lenovo CTO Dr.
