Key Terms

digital bank financial
A digital bank is a financial institution that delivers banking services mainly through mobile apps and websites instead of physical branches, handling accounts, payments, cards, loans and customer support online. For investors, it matters because digital banks can scale and operate at lower cost—like a store that serves the whole country from a single website—so their growth, margins and capital needs can differ markedly from traditional banks, while exposing them to technology, cybersecurity and regulatory risks.
interest-free financial
A financing arrangement where no periodic interest charges are applied to the money borrowed or the balance owed for a set period. Think of it like borrowing a book from a friend with no late fees for a while; for companies and investors this can boost short-term sales and cash flow but may shift costs elsewhere (higher prices, fees, or stricter terms) and affect profit margins and credit risk over time. Investors watch interest-free offers because they influence revenue timing, customer demand, and the company’s true cost of financing.
installments financial
Installments are a series of scheduled partial payments that together cover a larger amount owed or due, like paying for a purchase or loan in weekly or monthly pieces rather than all at once. For investors, installments matter because they change when cash moves between parties, affect a company’s or counterparty’s short-term cash flow and risk of missed payments, and can influence valuation or perceived financial stability much like spreading the cost of a car over monthly payments.
financing financial
Financing is the process a company uses to obtain money to operate, expand, pay debts, or fund projects—either by borrowing, selling ownership stakes, or arranging other sources of capital. Like choosing between taking out a loan or selling a piece of a bakery to raise cash, financing decisions affect a company’s future profits, risk profile and how much each share is worth, so investors monitor them to understand potential dilution, debt burden and cash availability.
New York Stock Exchange regulatory
The New York Stock Exchange is a marketplace where people buy and sell shares of publicly traded companies. It functions like a busy trading hub, helping investors transfer ownership of company parts and providing a way to gauge how well businesses are doing. Its role is vital because it offers liquidity and transparency, making it easier for investors to buy and sell investments confidently.
Apple Pay financial
Apple Pay is a digital wallet and contactless payment service that lets people pay with a smartphone, smartwatch or other device instead of a physical card or cash. Think of it as a virtual wallet and keychain that stores card details securely and lets users tap or authenticate to complete a purchase; for investors, it matters because wider use can boost transaction volume, customer loyalty, and fees within a company’s payments ecosystem while also attracting regulatory and competitive attention.
Google Pay financial
A digital wallet and payment app that lets people pay with a phone, watch, or online account instead of cash or a card. It matters to investors because widespread use can drive a company’s revenue streams, deepen customer habits, and make its platform more valuable — similar to how a popular loyalty program keeps shoppers returning and makes a business harder to leave.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Klarna, the global digital bank and flexible payments provider, is now available on EZContacts. This partnership gives U.S. customers a new way to pay for sunglasses, contact lenses, and prescription eyewear.

Vision care is a plannable expense. Contacts run out, prescriptions change, and frames wear down. Yet vision care remains one of the few categories where the default payment method is a credit card. Through this partnership, EZContacts customers can now choose from Klarna's full suite of payment options at checkout. This includes pay in full, pay in 30 days interest-free, pay in four interest-free installments, or longer-term financing.

"Our partnership with EZContacts demonstrates Klarna's commitment to expanding into specialized retail verticals where consumers expect flexibility without compromise,” said David Sykes, Chief Commercial Officer at Klarna. “Vision care is a planned purchase, and customers value the ability to manage costs through structured payments rather than traditional credit."

"EZContacts has always put the customer first. We carry a large range of high-quality contact lenses, eyewear, and sunglasses, and we operate on razor-thin margins to keep them accessible," said Rafael Sarim Oezdemir, Head of Growth at EZContacts. "Partnering with Klarna is a natural extension of that commitment. It gives our customers honest, transparent payment options at checkout, with no hidden fees. That way, they can get the eyewear they need, when they need it."

Klarna's payment options are available now to EZContacts customers in the United States.
