bluetooth angle of arrival technical
Bluetooth Angle of Arrival (AoA) is a wireless direction‑finding technique that uses multiple small antennas to detect the angle from which a Bluetooth signal arrives, like using two ears to tell which direction a sound comes from. For investors, AoA matters because it enables precise indoor positioning and asset tracking in warehouses, retail and health care, which can create new product features, revenue streams and competitive advantages for companies building location‑aware devices and services.
real-time location system technical
A real-time location system is a technology that tracks the precise location of people, equipment or inventory inside buildings or across sites and shows those locations instantly on a screen or app. Think of it as indoor GPS using small tags and sensors so managers always know where important items are, which reduces lost time, improves safety and boosts operational efficiency—factors that can lower costs and raise revenue for investors.
geo-fencing technical
Geo-fencing is a technology that creates an invisible geographic boundary around a physical location using GPS, Wi‑Fi or cellular signals; when a mobile device crosses that boundary it can trigger actions such as sending a notification, recording a visit, or restricting access. Investors care because it lets businesses target customers, measure foot traffic and enforce location-based services—like a digital storefront light that signals who enters—affecting marketing effectiveness, revenue potential and operational costs.
bluetooth low energy (ble) technical
A short-range wireless technology that lets small devices like phones, fitness trackers, sensors and smart-home gadgets exchange tiny amounts of data while using very little battery power. Investors care because BLE determines how long products run, how easily they connect, and how cheaply manufacturers can add smart features — similar to how fuel efficiency affects a car’s appeal and running costs, which in turn influences sales and market growth.
api integrations technical
API integrations are the technical links that let different software systems automatically share data and functions, like plumbing that allows water to flow between rooms. For investors, they matter because well-built integrations speed product launches, lower operational costs, enable new services or partnerships, and scale a business efficiently, while poor or missing integrations can limit growth, raise expenses, or create service disruptions.

Updated Real-Time Location System Gives Hospitals, Manufacturers, and Logistics Operators Precise Visibility Into Critical Assets and Personnel

MESA, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Iveda® (NASDAQ: IVDA)—a global leader in AI-driven video surveillance and smart city technologies—today unveiled a major upgrade to IvedaRTLS, its AI-powered Real-Time Location System, introducing Bluetooth Angle of Arrival (AoA) technology capable of delivering positioning accuracy as precise as 10 centimeters. The enhanced platform is designed to allow hospitals, manufacturers, and logistics operators to reduce asset loss, improve operational efficiency, and gain real-time visibility into critical equipment and personnel, setting a new standard for precision tracking across highly regulated industries.

The platform includes anchors, tags, management software, dashboards, alarms, and API integrations to support both personnel and asset tracking. With anchor coverage extending more than 25 meters per device and flexible configurations for indoor, outdoor, and industrial environments—including wet or exposed conditions—it is designed to deploy seamlessly across complex operational settings.

"The gap between knowing roughly where something is and knowing exactly where it is—that gap is where hospitals lose equipment, manufacturers lose time, and organizations lose money," said David Ly, CEO and Founder of Iveda. "This upgrade closes the gap, giving organizations visibility precise enough to make appropriate decisions immediately."

Installation is straightforward, with ceiling or wall mounting, Ethernet connectivity, and PoE support. Engineered for interference resistance and stable trajectory tracking, IvedaRTLS is compatible with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 4.0+ devices and supports iOS, Android, and HarmonyOS.

The enhanced platform builds on real-world deployment experience. Changhua Christian Hospital (CCH), one of Taiwan's largest medical institutions with over 4,000 beds across multiple facilities, struggled to keep tabs on critical equipment, losing valuable time and resources to misplaced wheelchairs, IV pumps, heart defibrillators and other critical medical devices. Since deploying IvedaRTLS, CCH has dramatically reduced equipment loss, ensuring essential assets are accounted for and accessible when needed most.

"At Changhua Christian Hospital, one of the biggest resource drains was missing wheelchairs," said Spencer Shih of Realink, one of Iveda's key systems integrator partners based in Taiwan. "With IvedaRTLS, they discovered that patients were unintentionally taking hospital-owned wheelchairs home. By implementing IvedaRTLS's Geo-Fencing feature, they now receive instant alerts whenever a wheelchair moves beyond the designated area. As a result, the hospital has significantly reduced equipment loss, saving both time and money."
