4 terms
generative ai technical
"scaling its position in the generative AI value chain and strengthening its financial foundation"
Generative AI is a type of computer technology that can create new content, like text, images, or music, on its own. It’s important because it can produce realistic and useful material quickly, which could change how we create art, write stories, or even develop new products. Think of it as a smart robot that can invent and produce things almost like a human.
non-gaap financial measures financial
"definitions of the non-GAAP financial measures referenced herein and related reconciliations"
Non-GAAP financial measures are numbers companies use to show their financial performance that exclude certain expenses or income. They help investors see how the company might perform without one-time costs or other unusual items, giving a different perspective from official reports. However, since they can be adjusted, they don’t always tell the full story and should be looked at alongside standard financial figures.
capital allocation financial
"deep expertise in financial planning and analysis, operating finance, capital allocation, investor communication"
Capital allocation is the process of deciding how a company or individual uses their money to grow, pay bills, save, or invest. It matters because good decisions can help build wealth and ensure resources are used wisely, while poor choices can limit growth or cause financial problems. Think of it like managing your allowance—deciding whether to spend, save, or invest to meet your goals.
View in glossary
mergers-and-acquisitions financial
"investor communication, and mergers-and-acquisitions, Mr. Chauhan will support Innodata"
Mergers and acquisitions are transactions where one company buys another or two companies combine into a single business. Think of it like two households moving in together or one family buying a neighbor’s house: it can change who controls assets, how cash and debt are shared, and what the combined business will try to earn. Investors care because these deals can quickly alter a company’s growth prospects, profit potential, balance sheet and share value, and they often change risk and ownership stakes.
