NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The American Gambling Awards is pleased to announce Simplebet is the 2023 “Online Betting Product of the Year.” The American Gambling Awards are produced by Gambling.com Group Limited (Nasdaq: GAMB) (“Gambling.com Group” or the “Group”), a leading provider of player acquisition services for the regulated global online gambling industry.

Simplebet is a B2B technology company that has pioneered micro-betting on U.S. sports by building the machine learning and automation infrastructure to enable this new form of betting to exist at scale. The company has developed a suite of innovative in-play and micro-betting products for real money and free-to-play experiences for the NFL, NBA, MLB, college football and college basketball, as well as official innovation partner LIV Golf.

Simplebet’s betting markets are now live in 27 states and it has seen strong growth across sports such as MLB, which achieved 225% YoY growth. In its second season providing NBA micro-markets, Simplebet achieved a growth rate of over 350% increase from its inaugural season, including $47 million in handle and 200K unique users across the NBA Playoffs, as well as doing over $14 million in handle across all partners for Super Bowl LVII. Additionally, Simplebet’s use of machine learning and artificial intelligence opened the door for an innovative partnership deal with LIV Golf.

Charles Gillespie, Chief Executive Officer of Gambling.com Group, said, “Simplebet continues to be at the forefront of fan engagement with the success of its live in-play micro-betting product, and is very deserving of winning the Online Betting Product of the Year award for the second year in a row. As unique wagering experiences becoming increasingly important, Simplebet has shown every operator the high upside of micro-betting.”

“It is our honor to take home the Online Betting Product of the Year Golden Eagle trophy for the second year in a row,” said Simplebet Chief Executive Officer Chris Bevilacqua. “Our team has put in countless hours in order to make the optimal product for our partners and sports betting enthusiasts, and this award reflects that. We look forward to next year to have the opportunity to make it a three-peat!"
