CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- To help nonprofit organizations to develop and administer climate-friendly and complementary programs that support northern Illinois families and businesses, ComEd today extended the deadline for applications for its $1.8 million Climate Friendly Grant Assistance program to Friday, Aug. 19, 2022.

ComEd’s Climate Friendly Grant Assistance program will award grants up to $450,000 each to as many as four nonprofit organizations so that they can offer clean energy-focused assistance programs to limited-income customers in communities the energy company serves. Eligible nonprofit candidates must be 501(c)(3) certified, serve the northern Illinois ComEd service territory, and support diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
