NTWRK is premiering the limited edition e.l.f. ear cuff in a special drawing on the NTWRK app starting today, in celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8. Entries will be open for one week. On March 15, at 2:30PM PST, the handcrafted e.l.f. ear cuff will be given away to ten winners announced live on NTWRK by designer Georgina and on-air host Kylie Mar. As part of e.l.f.’s mission to empower others, e.l.f. will donate $1 to Project Glimmer for each drawing entry, up to $25,000. Project Glimmer is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring every girl to envision and realize an empowered future. Visit this link for an official description of the drawing, terms and conditions, and other important information.
The impetus for the jewelry collaboration stemmed from a moment on popular trivia show Jeopardy! when contestant Matt Amodio was asked what e.l.f. stood for. He mistakenly answered “ears, lips, face.” The clip drew major buzz and LOLs on social media, leading the company to ask, “why not ears.lips.face.?”
e.l.f.’s first ear piece is one-of-a-kind handmade butterfly ear cuff with a contemporary design. Georgina chose the butterfly as a symbol of beauty, transformation and transition. She sees the ear cuff’s “girly but punk” aesthetic as a symbol of bravery and boldness, designed to make the wearer feel empowered, confident and beautiful. The ear cuff includes two discs engraved with favorite e.l.f.isms, “e.l.f. love” and “e.l.f. made” that can be attached or worn separately on the other ear.
“After Matt Amodio answered ears.lips.face., our ears perked up. Our community wanted us to create something for the ears!,” explains Gayitri Budhraja, Chief Brand Officer, e.l.f. Beauty. “We are always looking for unexpected ways to engage and entertain our fans, transcend beauty boundaries and own our place in culture. We are excited to launch the e.l.f. ear cuff as it gives us the opportunity to celebrate women with a unique piece of jewelry made by a talented woman designer and use an innovative shopping platform to bring this to life.”
Georgina Trevino was chosen as part of e.l.f.’s mission to empower emerging creators. Georgina will tell the story of how she drew from personal inspiration and her design process to partner with e.l.f. to create their first ever jewelry line, live on the NTWRK app on March 15, 2:30PM PST. Be sure to tune in!
