multi-gigabittechnical
Multi-gigabit describes data transmission speeds that are several times faster than one gigabit per second, typically meaning network links or devices that can handle multiple gigabits of data each second. For investors, higher speeds are like widening a highway: they enable more users and services to run smoothly, support new bandwidth-hungry applications, and often signal demand for upgraded equipment and infrastructure that can drive revenue growth.
symmetrical Internettechnical
A symmetrical internet connection delivers the same upload and download speeds, like a two-way highway with equal lanes in each direction. For investors, this matters because businesses and cloud services pay premiums for reliable, fast uploads as well as downloads; companies that provide symmetrical service often serve high-value commercial customers, show steadier revenue from business contracts, and face different infrastructure and regulatory costs than providers focused only on consumer download speeds.
WiFitechnical
Wi-Fi is a technology that lets devices like phones, laptops, and sensors connect wirelessly to the internet and to each other over short distances, using radio signals instead of cables. For investors it matters because Wi‑Fi affects how products work, how businesses run and scale, and where revenue or costs may come from—think of it as the invisible roadway that enables digital services, office productivity, retail checkout and many internet‑connected devices to function reliably.
SD-WANtechnical
SD‑WAN is a technology that uses software to control and direct wide-area network traffic between offices, data centers and cloud services instead of relying solely on traditional hardware routers. Think of it as a smart traffic manager that chooses the fastest, cheapest or safest route for each data flow, improving performance, cutting telecom costs and simplifying upgrades. Investors care because it can lower operating expenses, enable faster cloud adoption and create steady demand for networking and security services.
cloud connectivitytechnical
Cloud connectivity is the ability of computers, devices, or business systems to link with remote computing services and data stored on the internet so they can send, receive, and process information. For investors it matters because strong, reliable cloud links let companies scale services, lower IT costs, support remote work or online products, and reduce downtime risk—similar to a dependable highway that lets goods move quickly and keeps customers satisfied.
unified communicationstechnical
Unified communications is a set of tools and services that combine phone calls, video meetings, instant messaging, voicemail, and file sharing into a single, connected system so employees can communicate from one place—like a smartphone that brings all apps together. Investors care because it can lower communication costs, speed decision-making, improve customer response, and make a company more scalable and secure, all of which can affect productivity and profitability.
5Gtechnical
5G is the fifth generation of wireless technology that provides faster internet connections, lower latency, and greater capacity than previous networks. It enables quicker downloads, smoother streaming, and more reliable connections for devices. For investors, 5G represents a significant upgrade in technology infrastructure that can drive growth in related industries such as smartphones, smart cities, and the Internet of Things.
spam call blockingtechnical
Spam call blocking is a technology or service that identifies and stops unwanted, fraudulent, or automated phone calls before they reach a user, much like an email spam filter for voice calls. It matters to investors because effective blocking can reduce customer complaints, lower fraud losses, improve subscriber retention, and help companies meet regulatory requirements—factors that influence revenue, costs, and brand trust.
