BRI improved its international standing, moving from 362nd to 349th globally. This marks the eighth consecutive year BRI has held the top position among Indonesian firms. The bank reported a sales volume of US$12.77 billion and profits of US$2.17 billion. BRI's asset growth was noted, reaching Rp1,650.28 trillion with a profit increase of 78.13% year-on-year in Q1 2022.

JAKARTA, Indonesia, May 20, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (IDX: BBRI) was named the largest public company in Indonesia on the 2022's Forbes Global 2000 Ranking. In addition, BRI's ranking amongst the other 2,000 largest global companies rose to 349th in 2022 from 362nd in the previous year.
Amongst seven Indonesian companies listed in the Forbes Magazine's list of 2,000 largest companies globally, BRI was at the top of the list. BRI has been named as Indonesia's largest public company for eight consecutive years.
