Academy Sports + Outdoors Reports Record Third Quarter 2021 Results and Raises FY 2021 Guidance
Academy Sports and Outdoors reported a record third-quarter net sales of $1.59 billion, up 18.1% year-over-year, with a remarkable 39.1% growth compared to 2019. Pre-tax income surged 251.6% to $205.3 million. The company raised its full-year diluted GAAP EPS guidance to $6.75-$6.85, up from $5.45-$5.80. Comparable sales increased by 17.9%, marking nine consecutive quarters of growth. E-commerce sales rose 25.9% annually. Year-to-date sales reached $4.96 billion, a 21.3% increase, with gross margins improving by 540 basis points to 35.6%.
