Amazon Announces New, State-of-the-Art Fulfillment Center to be Built in Mississippi
Amazon announced the launch of a new fulfillment center in Madison County, Mississippi, creating over 1,000 full-time jobs with competitive pay and benefits. This facility, featuring advanced robotics technology, is the first of its kind in the state and aims to enhance customer service in the region. Employees will receive a minimum wage of $15 per hour along with comprehensive benefits starting from day one, including medical, dental, and 401(k) plans. The project underscores Amazon's commitment to upskilling 100,000 U.S. employees with a $700 million investment.

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Today Amazon announced plans to launch a new, state-of-the-art fulfillment center in Madison County, creating more than 1,000 new, full-time jobs, with industry-leading pay and comprehensive benefits starting on day one. This fulfillment center will be the first facility located in the Magnolia State to feature Amazon’s innovative robotics technology. The company launched its first facility in Mississippi in Byhalia in 2019, and a new fulfilment center this August in Olive Branch.

Every day at Amazon, incredible associates and drivers come together to deliver smiles for customers. In the 700,000 square-foot robotics fulfillment center, Amazon associates will pick, pack and ship small items to customers such as books, electronics and toys.
