(RAD) has released its Device Placement System (DPS) smart phone application, now available for both Apple iOS and Android mobile devices.

RAD DPS, an augmented reality application, allows for the virtual placement of RAD security devices at any location. Users have the ability to position their phone’s camera at the desired location, select the preferred RAD device, then fine tune the positioning details. One click snaps a picture of what the virtual device looks like in the actual location.

Augmented reality is a technology in which a computer-generated image is superimposed onto the user's vision of the real world, giving the user additional information generated from the simulated model.
