Atlassian Appoints Karen Dykstra, Former VMware & AOL Chief Financial Officer, to Board of Directors
Atlassian (NASDAQ: TEAM) has appointed Karen Dykstra to its Board of Directors, bringing over 30 years of financial leadership experience to the company. Dykstra, who previously served as CFO at VMware and AOL, currently sits on the boards of Gartner and Arm Holdings.
Most recently, Dykstra helped lead VMware through its pre-acquisition transition to Broadcom as CFO and Executive VP. Her extensive experience includes roles as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at AOL, Partner at Plainfield Asset Management, and a 25-year tenure at Automatic Data Processing, where she ultimately served as CFO.
Concurrent with Dykstra's appointment, Enrique Salem, partner at Bain Capital Ventures and former Symantec CEO, has stepped down from Atlassian's Board after serving since 2013.

Karen has more than 30 years of financial leadership and strong operational experience across many diverse industries. Most recently, she was the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of VMware, a cloud services company, which she helped lead through its pre-acquisition transition period to Broadcom Inc. She was also a member of VMware’s Board of Directors. Prior to that, she was the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer at AOL, an online service provider. Karen also served as a Partner at Plainfield Asset Management, and Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Plainfield Direct LLC, a business development company. Before this she spent over 25 years with Automatic Data Processing, Inc. in various positions, most recently as Chief Financial Officer.
Enrique Salem steps down from Atlassian’s Board of Directors
Atlassian also announced that Enrique Salem has stepped down from the Board, effective today. Enrique is a partner at Bain Capital Ventures and the former Chief Executive Officer at Symantec Corporation. He was elected to Atlassian’s Board of Directors in 2013.
