BRANFORD, Conn., Oct. 07, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sachem Capital Corp. (NYSE American: SACH) today announced that its Board of Directors (the “Board”) has authorized a stock repurchase program under which the company may repurchase up to an aggregate of $7.5 million of its outstanding common shares in the open market at prevailing market prices or in negotiated transactions off the market, in accordance with all applicable securities laws and regulations, including Rule 10b-18 and Rule 10b5-1 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended.

The company’s decision to repurchase its shares, as well as the timing of such repurchases, will depend on a variety of factors that include ongoing assessments of the company’s capital needs, market conditions and the price of the company’s common shares, and other corporate considerations, as determined by management. The repurchase program is expected to continue through September 30, 2023, unless extended or shortened by the Board.
