Morgan Stanley First Quarter 2022 Earnings Results
Morgan Stanley reported net revenues of $14.8 billion and EPS of $2.02 for Q1 2022, down from $15.7 billion and $2.19 a year earlier. The ROTCE was 19.8% amidst market volatility. Institutional Securities revenues fell to $7.7 billion, with Investment Banking down 37% year-on-year. Wealth Management saw resilient margins, adding $142 billion in net new assets. The firm returned capital with $2.9 billion in share repurchases and declared a $0.70 dividend.
