ANDOVER, Mass., Aug. 06, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Mercury Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY, www.mrcy.com), a leader in trusted, secure mission-critical technologies for aerospace and defense, announced that its Andover facility received the 2020 James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award from the U.S. Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). Mercury’s Hudson, New Hampshire; West Lafayette, Indiana; and Phoenix, Arizona, facilities have previously received Cogswell awards.

This award, which recognizes industrial security excellence, is the highest honor the DCSA bestows to cleared industry partners. Out of the approximately 13,000 cleared facilities nationwide, less than 1% (61) received Cogswell awards this year. Facilities may be nominated for the award only if they have a minimum of two consecutive, superior security ratings and show a sustained degree of excellence and innovation in their overall security program management, implementation and oversight.

“We’re honored to receive our fourth Cogswell Award and are extremely proud of the diligence, hard work and commitment to security excellence by our Andover team,” said Christopher Cambria, executive vice president and general counsel, Mercury Systems. “With less than one percent of cleared facilities receiving this recognition, earning this level of trust is validation of our ongoing commitment to safeguarding sensitive information and underpins our overarching goal to make trusted, secure technologies profoundly more accessible to aerospace and defense.”

Mercury is accelerating innovation for its customers as the Company bridges the gap between commercial technology and defense applications to meet the industry’s current and emerging needs. For more information, visit www.mrcy.com or contact Mercury at (866) 627-6951 or info@mrcy.com.
