Brian O’Shaughnessy has over two decades of experience leading communications functions at high-growth technology companies, including Google and Skype. At Google, O’Shaughnessy led consumer product communications across a suite of global products and services. Specifically, he led the rollouts for what would become three of the world’s most utilized products – the first Android-powered device, the Chrome browser, and the internationalization and monetization of YouTube. At Skype, O’Shaughnessy developed and led the company’s global media strategy, oversaw new product launches and strategic partnerships, and led communications strategy through the Microsoft acquisition. In 2013, O’Shaughnessy founded the Pramana Collective – a strategic communications consultancy with offices in San Francisco, New York City, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles – with Twitter’s first communications chief, Sean Garrett, and Facebook’s first communications leader, Brandee Barker. O’Shaughnessy served as the Collective’s CEO until 2020.
“Modern wellness is a critical component of our future success and Hims & Hers provides the solutions to the questions we all are asking," said O’Shaughnessy. "This is the moment where everyone can take greater agency in their health and wellness decisions. I am very excited by the challenge of amplifying our story with our employees, consumers, and the policymakers, investors, and partners that are defining the future of next generation personalized healthcare."
As VP of Fulfillment Operations, Josh Krueger brings to Hims & Hers a wealth of experience leading fulfillment operations at retail giants, including Walmart and Amazon. Krueger started his career managing fulfillment operations in a 1.2 million square foot Walmart Distribution center before joining Amazon in 2008. Over seven years at Amazon, Krueger helped to open four one million plus square foot fulfillment centers as well as launch and operate Amazon’s first fully scaled robotics fulfillment center. Krueger also brings experience from QVC, where he was responsible for 15 fulfillment locations – encompassing over 15 million square feet – and led roughly 10,000 employees. Most recently, Kruger served as VP of Delivery Experience at GameStop, where he helped implement systems enhancements that improved ecommerce delivery speeds to customers by 57 percent.
“Hims & Hers is revolutionizing the retail experience for a new generation of healthcare consumers,” said Krueger. “As someone who has spent my career at the cutting edge of retail and ecommerce, I could not be more excited by this opportunity to help establish what it means for consumers to experience great modern healthcare. I look forward to leveraging my experience operating fulfillment centers at scale to continue Hims & Hers’ rapid growth and the incredible experience it is delivering to customers.”
O’Shaughnessy and Krueger are the latest leadership appointments by Hims & Hers. Other recent hires include Chief Financial Officer Yemi Okupe, Chief Growth Officer Mike Chi, and SVP of Human Resources Amee Parekh. These newest appointments come as the company continues to execute on its growth priorities and post strong financial results. In Q2 2022, Hims & Hers reported its second consecutive quarter with over $100 million in revenue and 100,000 new subscribers.
