Frontier Communications (OTC: FTRCQ) today announced that Veronica Bloodworth has been appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Network Officer, effective immediately. Ms. Bloodworth will report directly to President and Chief Executive Officer Nick Jeffery and oversee all of Frontier’s network operations, including those related to the Company’s earlier announced Modernization Plan.

Ms. Bloodworth brings more than 28 years of leadership experience to Frontier. Most recently, as Senior Vice President of Construction and Engineering for AT&T, she led the planning, design, construction and capital maintenance of the wireline and wireless network infrastructure across a national footprint. Under her leadership, the Company deployed fiber-connected service to over 14M customers and created a single fiber plan across the consumer, mobility and business segments. Previously as Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy, AT&T Services, Ms. Bloodworth led the Velocity IP program, which laid the groundwork to transform the Company to an all IP/Wireless/Cloud business.

Ms. Bloodworth has held numerous leadership and management positions in Network and Finance over a 23-year career with AT&T, including various roles in Operations, Finance and Business Development within Cingular Wireless and BellSouth Mobility. She began her career at MCI. She is a Certified Public Accountant and has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama and an MBA from Georgia State University.
