BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Cross Country Healthcare will join the 2023 Walk to End Alzheimer’s as a presenting sponsor in Boca Raton on Sunday, Nov. 12, at South County Regional Park - Sunset Cove Amphitheater.

“Cross Country is proud to sponsor and support the 2023 South Florida Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” said John A. Martins, President and CEO of Cross Country. “Working in partnership with important community organizations like the Alzheimer’s Association will help us to make strides in research and education. Together, we walk, remember, and inspire change – one step at a time.”

More than 6 million Americans live with Alzheimer’s disease – a leading cause of death in the United States. More than 11 million family members and friends also care for people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. On Walk Day, attendees honor those affected by Alzheimer’s with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony – a mission-focused experience that signifies participants’ solidarity in the fight against the disease. The colors of the Promise Garden flowers represent participants’ connections to Alzheimer’s disease and the reasons they walk.

“As the leader of Cross Country's Walk to End Alzheimer's team, I am honored to rally our dedicated members in a shared mission to make a difference,” said Amiee Hawkins, SVP of Enterprise Operations for Cross Country. “With every step we take, we're not only walking for a world without Alzheimer's but also standing up for the countless families and individuals impacted by this disease.”
