Move Changes North Macedonian Women's Football Trajectory
Dublin, Ireland and Milan, Italy--(Newsfile Corp. - May 13, 2024) - Brera Holdings PLC (NASDAQ: BREA) ("Brera Holdings," "Brera" or the "Company"), the first publicly-listed football (American soccer) focused company in the world of professional sports multi-club ownership ("MCO") and investment, is excited to announce that the North Macedonian women's football association voted to assign all of the association's rights and property to a joint stock company that is fully owned by Brera Strumica.

As a result of this newly structured association, Brera Holdings can now claim ownership and make investments, much like Brera Strumica. The Federation additionally provided written confirmation of their acceptance of Brera Tiverija without incurring any penalty, including waiving of the automatic relegation penalty, since this is essentially a change of entity.
"It's easy to acquire a team in a top ranked country, that's a business decision driven by economic fundamentals. However, in our case, we want to make a difference; fighting for acceptance with the local Federation and standing up for women's rights where they're ranked near the bottom of the world rankings is the likeliest place to make an impact a difference in the lives of thousands of young girls in a somewhat forgotten region that have dreams of playing football at a similar level as their brothers and cousins," commented Brera Holdings CEO, Pierre Galoppi.
This is a first for women's football and women's sports in general for North Macedonia. This kind of operation allows for the investment required to support women's football for the first time. It is a clear signal that Brera Holdings is committed to continue to make a social impact where it matters.
Galoppi concluded, "It's imperative that we strive to be winners on the pitch and leaders in our communities, and this move should quickly yield rewards and well into the future."
