DUBLIN, Ireland and MILAN, Italy, April 22, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Brera Holdings PLC ("Brera Holdings," "Brera" or the "Company") (Nasdaq: BREA) has been asked to respond to several third-party publications that have reported on Brera’s efforts to acquire a top-level Italian professional football (soccer) team.
Brera Holdings CEO, Pierre Galoppi, stated, "In January 2024, we announced that we would begin the process of acquiring a team in the Italian Serie BKT, managed by Lega Nazionale Professionisti Serie B ("Serie B"). We can confirm at this time that we have initiated and are well along on this process with several top caliber and storied teams. In compliance with confidentiality agreements signed with these organizations and with applicable laws, we are not in the position to comment on the latest third-party statements about Brera’s initiative."
