Wilensky, who joins Assurant from Northern Trust, where she served most recently as chief talent officer, will have oversight for strategic talent acquisition and development, and will report directly to Francesca Luthi, Assurant’s chief administrative officer.

Wilensky’s key responsibilities will include setting Assurant’s talent strategy in support of the company’s business objectives with direct oversight for talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, talent review and succession planning, as well as career mobility efforts. Her global mandate will include championing Assurant’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts to best support the unique culture of the organization across the world.

Bringing extensive experience in Human Resources and business and operations roles, Wilensky held the titles of chief talent officer and chief learning officer during her tenure at Northern Trust. She was instrumental in leading successful talent development programs and increasing diversity in leadership. Prior to Northern Trust, she held positions within Allstate including director of risk management for product operations and director of talent development, education and communications within product operations.

Wilensky holds an MBA in Management and International Business from Loyola University, an MA in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from New York University, and a BA in economics from Duke University. She will be based in Atlanta.
