UTA Acquisition Corporation (the “Company”), a special purpose acquisition company targeting businesses in the gaming, digital media, creator economy, entertainment and technology industries, today announced that it has closed its initial public offering of 23,000,000 units at a price of $10.00 per unit. The units are listed on the Nasdaq Global Market (“Nasdaq”) and began trading under the ticker symbol “UTAAU” on December 2, 2021. Each unit consists of one Class A ordinary share and one-half of one redeemable warrant, with each whole warrant exercisable to purchase one Class A ordinary share at a price of $11.50 per share. Once the securities comprising the units begin separate trading, shares of the Class A common stock and warrants are expected to be listed on Nasdaq under the symbols “UTAA” and “UTAAW,” respectively.
The Company is a blank check company whose business purpose is to effect a merger, share exchange, asset acquisition, share purchase, reorganization or similar business combination with one or more businesses. While the Company may pursue an initial business combination target in any industry or sector, it intends to identify and complete a business transaction with a company operating in the gaming, digital media, creator economy, entertainment and technology industries.
