Carrols Restaurant Group, Inc. (TAST) reported strong first-quarter results for 2021, with total restaurant sales rising 10.9% to $390.0 million compared to $351.5 million in 2020. Comparable sales at Burger King restaurants increased by 14.7%, while Popeyes saw a slight 0.5% growth. Adjusted EBITDA surged to $19.9 million, up from $4.0 million. Highlights for the First Quarter of 2021 versus the First Quarter of 2020 Include:
