A regional council added to SaverOne's growing customer roster of local governments looking to prevent driver distraction from cellphones to protect its students on school buses
PETAH TIKVAH, Israel, Jan. 30, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- SaverOne 2014 Ltd. (Nasdaq: SVRE) (TASE: SVRE), a technology company engaged in transportation safety solutions, today announced that the regional council of Emek Yizrael, in the North of Israel, has installed the SaverOne system on all its school buses in order to prevent bus drivers from being distracted by their mobile phones while transporting students to and from their schools. This new project win from a regional council in Israel is in addition to the regional councils of Hermon, Mate Asher and Yoav that installed the SaverOne system on their school buses at the start of the current school year, in September 2022.
The full potential for this vertical in Israel is 54 regional councils of which SaverOne has now penetrated four. Furthermore, over the long-term, this vertical holds much more significant potential for SaverOne with a goal of providing protection for students traveling on school buses in the United States, Europe and elsewhere.
Commented Ori Gilboa, CEO of SaverOne, "School bus accidents are unfortunately not uncommon, and every year we hear of tragic accidents causing death and injury to students that could have been avoided had the driver not been distracted. Our SaverOne system ensures that drivers, who are responsible for dozens of passengers, especially children, do not inadvertently become distracted by their mobile phones while they should be focusing on driving safely. This new win is very much in-line with our strategy, as we aim to focus on our goal of continuing to roll out the SaverOne system as a safety solution to additional regional councils and school districts in Israel, as well as broadening and expanding our coverage and protection solution to school buses throughout the United States, Europe and globally."
