Displaces existing vendor to broaden and strengthen DDoS protections
MAHWAH, N.J., Nov. 14, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Radware® (NASDAQ: RDWR), a leading provider of cyber security and application delivery solutions, announced it signed an agreement with a leading European telecom and managed security service provider. Ranking among its country’s top four largest telecoms based on revenue, the carrier will utilize Radware’s behavioral-based DDoS protection to strengthen the network security for its data center infrastructure and customers.
Today, the carrier provides telephony, mobile, and internet TV for millions of businesses and households and supports one of the most extensive broadband infrastructures in Europe. To increase its DDoS defenses against new threat vectors and expand its security portfolio, the carrier replaced its existing DDoS mitigation solution with Radware’s DefensePro® X DDoS Protection platform and Cyber Controller.
“Hackers are constantly looking for new ways to circumvent traditional security solutions. Outages, intrusions, and malicious attacks from independent and state-sanctioned actors have pointed an unwelcome spotlight on just how fragile and vulnerable the telecom infrastructure can be,” said Yoav Gazelle, Radware’s chief business officer. “Radware has established a strong track record of partnering with and defending the world’s largest internet service and telecom providers. Our solutions are built for fast, adaptive protection to help them confront an increasingly volatile threat landscape and provide advanced security options for their customers.”
DefensePro X provides automated, adaptive DDoS protection from fast-moving, high-volume, encrypted or zero-day threats. It defends against IoT-based, Burst, DNS and TLS/SSL attacks, ransom DDoS campaigns, IoT botnets, phantom floods, and other types of cyber threats.
To oversee the complete DDoS protection lifecycle and speed time to mitigation, DefensePro X works with the Radware Cyber Controller. The new state-of-the-art management, security operations, and orchestration system provides a single location for traffic visibility, robust analytics, and advanced security operations.
Radware has received numerous awards for its DDoS mitigation, application and API protection, web application firewall, and bot detection and management solutions. Industry analysts such as Aite-Novarica Group, Forrester Research, Gartner, GigaOm, KuppingerCole, and Quadrant Knowledge Solutions continue to recognize Radware as a market leader in cyber security.
