Rescue Jr., the New Kid-Friendly Interactive Adventure Zone Themed Around SeaWorld's Animal Rescue Efforts, is Now Open
SeaWorld San Antonio has unveiled Rescue Jr., a new interactive adventure zone designed for young visitors, particularly those aged three to five years old. The attraction, which opened on March 8, 2025, features multiple rides and play areas themed around the park's animal rescue and rehabilitation efforts.
The new zone includes several attractions: the Beach Rescue Racer, a 1,300-foot roller coaster shaped like a beach jeep (38-inch height requirement); Ocean Quest Express, a train ride adventure (36-inch requirement); Tide Pool Tumble (42-inch requirement); Seabird Swing (36-inch requirement); and the Ocean Rescue Carousel (42-inch requirement for independent riding).
To promote the new attraction, SeaWorld is offering a free Preschool Card for children ages three to five, providing unlimited admission throughout 2025. Additionally, the park is running a Spring Break promotion where visitors can get Aquatica access free with the purchase of a SeaWorld Pass.

New Play Area Perfect for Kids
Children will become the heroes of the park at Rescue Jr. where they can learn about animal rescue and rehabilitation in the coolest way possible – through hands-on, active and engaging experiences, including:
- Beach Rescue Racer, the new 1,300-foot roller coaster with cars in the shape of a beach jeep will give guests the feeling of rushing to the rescue of animals in need. Young heroes 38 inches and up get to jump in the driver's seat and zoom to the rescue!
- Guests can embark on an exhilarating train ride adventure themed around a sea rescue on the Ocean Quest Express. Explorers as little as 36 inches can ride while playing a game of "I Spy" looking for hidden sea life along the way.
- Tide Pool Tumble lets little adventurers 42 inches and taller ebb and flow as they glide in and out with the tide on a seaside joy ride.
- Rescuers will take to the skies and soar on Seabird Swing, virtually parasailing high above the ground to observe seabirds. Guests 36 inches and taller can take flight in this thrilling giant swing.
- Ocean Rescue Carousel is perfect for young and old and will keep guests thrilled as they go round and round taking in the sights of the new play area. Everyone can enjoy the ride, but those at least 42 inches can ride it on their own!
