Planet to Launch 36 SuperDove Satellites with SpaceX
Planet Labs plans to launch 36 SuperDove satellites on SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket on January 3, 2023, at 9:56 a.m. ET. This launch will replenish Planet's fleet of around 200 satellites, enhancing its capabilities to provide daily Earth data and insights. Equipped with advanced spectral bands, the satellites support various industries, including agriculture and government. Additionally, a number of SuperDoves will showcase artwork honoring Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry as part of a collaboration with The Roddenberry Foundation.
