THE WOODLANDS, Texas, Dec. 1, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Newpark Resources, Inc. (NYSE: NR) ("Newpark" or the "Company") today announced the repayment of $39 million of outstanding convertible notes at maturity. In addition, consistent with its stated focus on expansion within industrial end-markets, the Company has entered into an agreement to acquire substantially all assets and operations of Lentzcaping, Inc. ("Lentzcaping") for cash consideration of approximately $14 million.  

Lentzcaping has been a valued partner for Newpark in recent years, primarily serving utility transmission customers in the Northeast U.S. and providing a variety of complementary services including worksite planning and preparation, temporary access, and worksite restoration. The transaction is expected to close in December 2021, subject to customary closing conditions.
