Mimecast Announces First Quarter 2021 Financial Results
Mimecast Limited (NASDAQ: MIME) reported strong first quarter results for FY2021, with revenue of $115.2 million, a 16% year-over-year increase. In constant currency, revenue growth was 21%. The company added 600 net new customers, bringing the total to 38,600. The revenue retention rate stood at 106%. GAAP net income was $3.1 million, or $0.05 per diluted share, compared to a net loss of $4.0 million a year ago. For FY2021, Mimecast expects revenue between $488.1 million and $493.1 million.

Revenue Constant Currency Growth Rate. We believe revenue constant currency growth rate is a key indicator of our operating results. We calculate revenue constant currency growth rate by translating revenue from entities reporting in foreign currencies into U.S. dollars using the comparable foreign currency exchange rates from the prior fiscal period.
