Company to launch its year of sustainability by ringing The Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange
TEL AVIV, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
ICL (NYSE: ICL) (TASE: ICL), a leading global specialty minerals company, announced it will ring The Opening Bell this morning to celebrate its 30th anniversary as a publicly traded company and to commemorate the beginning of its year of sustainability. Raviv Zoller, president and CEO of ICL, and Yoav Doppelt, ICL’s chairman of the board, will be joined on the podium by ICL’s top female executives in honor of International Women’s Day on March 8.
“While 2022 marks the 30th year ICL has been listed as a public company, our roots go back over 90 years,” said Raviv Zoller, president and CEO of ICL. “Today we are on a mission to transform from a company that extracts minerals to a company that uses its minerals to create sustainable solutions for humanity in the global food, agriculture and industrial markets. In short, we strive to feed and protect the planet.”
As part of the company’s efforts to expand on its commitment to sustainability and transparency, ICL recently published its inaugural Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). This new level of disclosure is expected to enhance the company’s understanding and management of climate-related risks and opportunities and to enable ICL to deliver updates to it stakeholders through TCFD reporting in the coming years.
