Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) announced that Peter J. Fluor, great-grandson of company founder John Simon Fluor, is retiring May 6 from the Fluor Corporation Board of Directors. He is the last in a long line of Fluor family members to serve as leaders within the company since its founding in 1912.

Peter Fluor served on the company’s board of directors since 1984 in a variety of roles including as lead independent director from 2003 to 2020.

Peter Fluor serves as the chairman and chief executive officer of Texas Crude Energy, LLC, an international oil and gas exploration and production company, since 2001, and was president and chief executive officer of Texas Crude Energy from 1980 to 2001.
His father, J. Robert Fluor, Sr., served as Fluor’s chairman and chief executive officer from 1962 to 1984.
