World's largest cruise company again honored on Forbes' annual listing of best global employers of 2023

Listing recognizes top companies in the world for providing a positive workplace environment and excellent employment opportunities for employees

MIAMI, Oct. 24, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL; NYSE: CUK), the world's largest cruise company, today announced it was named for the third consecutive year as one of the World's Best Employers for 2023 by Forbes, a leading source of business news worldwide. In the seventh annual listing, Carnival Corporation was recognized among the top 700 international employers from over 20 major industries for successfully cultivating a positive workplace environment across work-life balance, career advancement opportunities and employee diversity.

Presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider, the World's Best Employers list was determined through an independent survey of more than 170,000 employees from 55 countries working part-time or full-time for global companies and institutions. Respondents were asked whether they would recommend their employers to friends and family, and to anonymously rate their workplaces based on criteria such as image, economic footprint, talent development, gender equality and social responsibility. Employees could also rate other companies in their respective industries and countries. Based on these direct and indirect employee recommendations, along with an evaluation and adjustment for regional differences, only the top 700 companies out of thousands of organizations were recognized as the World's Best Employers by Forbes.

"Our highly talented global team of shipboard and shoreside employees are at the heart of everything we do and we want to make sure we are fostering an environment where people from all different backgrounds, experiences and walks of life can thrive," said Bettina Deynes, global chief human resources officer for Carnival Corporation. "As we continue to prioritize a positive company culture and drive initiatives to grow each of our team members' careers, we are honored to be recognized once again by Forbes for our efforts and commitment to be the employer of choice for hospitality, travel and leisure careers."

The recognition as one of the World's Best Employers builds on a series of other distinguished honors Carnival Corporation has earned in recent years for its companywide operations and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and fostering a positive workplace environment for all employees. In addition, the company was named one of the Best Companies for Latinos by Latino Leaders Magazine in 2022 and earned a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's 2022 Corporate Equality Index, designating the company as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality for the sixth consecutive year.

This recognition underscores Carnival Corporation's commitment to its team members and cultivating an atmosphere of openness, respect, and trust. The company's success is a direct result of its over 160,000 employees, who represent 150 countries around the globe and are at the heart of inspiring unforgettable happiness for its millions of guests around the world.
