Corporación América Airports S.A. Reports March 2023 Passenger Traffic
Corporación América Airports (NYSE: CAAP) reported a 33.6% year-over-year increase in passenger traffic for March 2023, totaling 6.33 million passengers, which is 91.7% of pre-pandemic levels from March 2019. Domestic passenger numbers grew by 22.9% YoY, while international traffic surged by 57.3% YoY. Notably, Armenia and Ecuador reported traffic exceeding pre-pandemic levels, with Armenia at 181.9% of March 2019 levels. However, Argentina, Brazil, and Italy lag behind with traffic levels of 93%, 89%, and 91.8% respectively. The cargo volume also rose 9.8% YoY, but remains 12.7% below 2019 benchmarks. Aircraft movements increased 23.5% YoY, reaching 98.0% of pre-pandemic levels.
