The U.S. Army has awarded BAE Systems a five-year contract extension for operations at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant with a ceiling value of up to $1.3 billion. The contract with BAE Systems Ordnance Systems Inc. covers management, production maintenance, sustainment, and modernization of the installation located in southwest Virginia. The company has operated the plant since 2012.
