AAM Reports Second Quarter 2020 Financial Results
American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings (AXL) reported Q2 2020 results, showing sales of $515.3 million, down from $1.7 billion in Q2 2019. The net loss was $(213.2 million), or $(1.88) per share, compared to a net income of $52.5 million a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter was $(52.1 million), or (10.1)% of sales. The results were adversely affected by approximately $947 million due to COVID-19 production shutdowns. AAM withdrew its 2020 financial outlook due to ongoing economic uncertainty.

As a result of the unexpected disruption in light vehicle production and economic uncertainty due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, AAM withdrew its 2020 financial outlook on March 25, 2020. Due to the continued uncertainty, we are not issuing revised 2020 financial targets at this time.
